Profile
As a sole trader, I set up Arwain Architects in 2000.
I have a wealth of experience that spans over 30 years, having worked and lived in Hull, London, Sheffield, Swansea for the last 20 years, Manordeilo, Llandeilo.
For the last 20 years my work has mainly been concentrated with domestic and commercial new build and extensions, barn conversions and listed buildings.
Prior to setting up Arwain Architects, I enjoyed many years both in a graduate, post graduate and architects role, working for small, medium and large practices, in Hull, London, Sheffield and Swansea. Notable clients and projects have been diverse and have included Gwalia Housing, Wales and West Housing, Virgin Megastores, Southampton University, Sainsbury’s (both stores and petrol filling stations), Headquarters for Fiat, the Royal Household (I worked as part of a team on the restoration of Windsor Castle), Oxford University Magdalene College and sheltered housing for the English Courtyard Association. More recently, projects have included a listed building conversion for Welsh Government and Pembrokeshire County Council funded offices for ‘Prism’ in Haverfordwest and numerous new build, conversion and extension projects for individual clients.
